When we make amends, we are making amends inside of ourselves
Self-forgiveness and self-compassion first, then we can open our hearts to others,
without demands and requirements.
My task is to be free from my judgments, reactions,
and the false belief that I am not good enough.
This is self-loving.
There is nothing to forgive outside of ourselves.
If someone makes amends to me, I can hear it and say, “Thank you.”
It’s not about me. They are mending from within when they ask for forgiveness.
What I do with their amends becomes my issue.
I have amends to make in my own heart.
They have been a faithful mirror.
